Mark will speak during Monday's opening session at 3:30 pm about Leadership, Development, Motivation, and Teamwork, so make your travel plans accordingly as you will NOT want to miss this session!
About Mark
Coach Mark Richt is a beloved college football coach, devoted husband and father, motivational speaker, philanthropist, and author. Coach Richt served as the head football coach for the University of Georgia and the University of Miami for 18 seasons.
Throughout his career his teams won two SEC championships, five SEC division championships, and one ACC division title. He was two-time SEC Coach of the Year (2002,2005), the 2017 ACC Coach of the Year, and the recipient of the national 2017 Walter Camp Coach of the Year Award.
Coach Richt was also a longtime assistant coach for the Florida State Seminoles under Bobby Bowden. There, he coached two Heisman Trophy winners and helped lead the team to two National Championships in 1993 and 1999.
For the last 35+ years, football has provided Mark with an avenue to reach and raise the next generation of men and to equip them with the skills to be leaders in their communities.
As a play caller and head coach, Mark's responsibility was to formulate a game plan and ensure players knew their responsibilities. While his sideline looks much different now, he still feels passionate about helping people live life to the fullest.
Since he retired from coaching, Mr. Richt has had his share of health issues, having a massive heart attack and now being diagnosed with Parkinson’s, which have inspired him to share what is truly important.
When he is not traveling the country with the ACC Network or speaking engagements, Mark resides in Athens, GA with his family.
